d-CON Refillable Corner Fit Mouse Poison Bait Station FAQ

Q: How many kills do I get from each bait block?

A: The number of mice that die with each d-Con bait block will depend on how much each mouse feeds and the size of the mice. Each block can kill multiple mice.

Q: Where do the mice die?

A: After feeding on the d-CON bait, mice will return to their nest and die later.

Q: How do I know if the d-CON bait is working?

A: You'll be able to see the d-CON bait through the clear window on your bait station to gauge if mice are eating the bait or not. Once you notice signs of mice feeding on the baits, mouse activity should cease within a few days. If you don't see chew marks on the bait after a few days, try moving it to another area.

Q: Is this product safe to use around kids & pets?

A: The d-CON Refillable Bait Station is child & dog resistant.

Q: What is the active ingredient in the d-CON bait block?

A: Cholecalciferol (more commonly known as Vitamin D3) is the active ingredient in d-Con Baits.

I used the bait in one trap and mozzarella cheese in the other. The mouse avoided both for 3 days but the 4th night the mouse got trapped in the mozzeralla cheese trap and bingo, mouse caught. Never went near the trap with the mouse bait square in it. I also taped the bottom of the trap where the cheese was so the mouse could not eat it''s way out after being caught in there. That''s a fairly flimsy sticky covering otherwise. Duct tape and 3 day old mozzarella did the trick. You only need a tiny amount. Easy to use but I had to set it on the cabinet shelf in the kitchen where the toaster is and the mouse liked to hang out. The one on the floor with the mouse bait was completely ignored.

OK.... So i have a few mice in my new house. Not a super big deal.
I placed the bait station in an area with some evidence of mice. Standard stuff.
I come back a week later to find the entrance stuffed with insulation and refuse. there is some definite bite marks on the bait and the thing is blocked.
There is some secret of Nimh stuff going on here man...
I am waiting for Mrs. Brisby to to come running across my floor in a red cloak at this point....
so far I found one dead mouse, I am assuming from poison...

I have some snap traps as well, loaded with peanut butter...
I caught one mouse so far, it was really big and had orange stripes... Totally different from the common brown mouse that was poisoned....

I have no rose bushes....

I am honestly a little concerned....

Mice Love it
Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2019
I like that the mice seem to die out in the open. If you find evidence of mice, don''t clean it up but put a poison cube in that spot. Watch the cube for evidence of feeding on it. This seems to be more effective than sticky traps or snap traps. Repeat purchaser.

Very easy to use. I followed all the instructions and did everything right. The mice nibbled on about 6 of the little packages I set out in different locations. The other 6 packages of poison were ignored. I tried moving them to different locations (I always wore gloves). The mice still would not eat it. Upon further inspection, it seems like some of the little poison capsules were dried up. This is disappointing. I am still seeing mice run around my house. I still have a mouse problem. I am hopeful that some of the mice will die from eating the poison. Overall somewhat disappointing but I may have just gotten unlucky and purchased a 12 pack that had some old dried out capsules in it.
